State Rep. Tim Barhorst | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Tim Barhorst (R-Fort Loramie) expressed his support for House Bill 68, also known as the SAFE Act and Save Women's Sports Act. In response to the Ohio House overriding Governor DeWine's veto of the bill, Barhorst stated, "I have backed HB 68 from day one." He further emphasized that this legislation is seen as common sense by Ohioans, as it aims to protect young female athletes from competing against biological men and to safeguard the youth from the pressures of social and medical activism.
The veto override of the SAFE Act will now move on to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
