authors of books used; Item 2. In Account with Charitable Institutions, 1879 -
1888 Register of charitable institutions in account with Calhoun County, showing
name of institution, charity patient, date, number and amount of order, purpose
of order; Item 3. Estray Record Book, 1827 - 1854 Name of person taking up
stray, address, description of stray, appraised value, date, names of witnesses,
certified by justice of the peace, disposition of stray (sold, proved to be

records of estate settlements including copies of wills, appointments and bonds
of administrators and appraisers, itemized appraisals of personal property,
itemized accounts of sales with names of purchasers with amounts and accounts of
disbursements to estate creditors showing names of creditors and amounts; Item
2. School Land Record Book, 1841 - 1850 Contains petitions for sales of school
lands including legal description of land and names of petitioners, surveyor’s
plats of school lands, and valuations of lots showing lot number, number of
acres and valuation per acre; Item 3. Record of Intent, 1866 - 1902 Contains
records of immigrants declaring their intent to become a naturalized citizen;
Item 4. Minors Naturalization Records, 1867 -1906 V141-30 : Illinois County Records

County Records: Calhoun County: Item 1. Naturalization Record 1st Papers, 1857 -
1887, 1908 - 1924 Contains records of immigrants’ declarations of intent to
become naturalized citizens which is required to be filed five years prior to
final certification as a citizen. For 1859 -1866 record includes applicant’s
name and nationality. For 1908 - 1924 record includes applicant’s name,
occupation, physical description, birth date, place of birth, nationality, point
of embarkation, name of vessel, and point of debarkation; Item 2. Final
Naturalization 1849 - 1896, 1903 - 1926, for 1849 - 1859 record shows
applicant’s name, date and place of birth ports of embarkation and debarkation,
former allegiance, names of two witnesses, and date of final naturalization. For
1860 -1896, 1903 - 1910 record shows applicant’s name, former allegiance, names
of two witnesses and date of final naturalization. For 1911 - 1926 records show
applicant’s name, occupation, date and place of birth ports of embarkation and
debarkation, name of vessel, names of wife and children, former allegiance,
names of two character witnesses, and date of final naturalization; Item 3.
Estray Record Book, 1854 - 1894 Record shows description of estray, name and
residence of individual who found it, date it was found, its appraised value,
and filing date; Item 4. School Records, 1932 - 1934 Record includes plats of
school district land by township, range and section which are certified valid by
the school superintendent and trustees (1932). Also included are minutes of
school board meetings concerning petitions to erect school buildings with names
or petitions of realignments of school district boundaries and allocation of
