"THE POORHOUSE"
Built in 1870 near Carrollton, Greene County, Illinois.
As it looks today 2006 and recently placed on its list of the
Top Ten most endangered Historical Places in Illinois
by The Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois.

We need $5000.00 to receive matching funds. |

| The first $5000 grant which is what we need matching funds for,
is to secure the building from the weather. We have a contractor ready to get
started once we have the money. The second grant which is being written is for
a feasibility study to determine if the building can be saved. Currently time is
our enemy. We must do something to stop the deterioration. |
